John has over 30 years’ experience as an advanced driver and started his driving training on motorbikes and cars in Templemore Garda collage, He can train you from basic to advanced. John is a approved driving instructor for both motorcycles and cars for the R.S.A, The Institute of Advanced Motorists and The Driving Instructors Association and is also a Qualified Observer

I have over 30+ years’ experience as an advanced driver, I started out as a Garda instructor and on retirement, I worked for the road safety authority as a tester for a number of years before starting my own driving school.

Not only can I show you the best practises to pass your driving test the first time, but I can also show how to keep points off your licence, Why is this important! A Licence

Get prepared for you’re A Licence the right way, When doing you motorcycle test you will have to know the rules of the road, know your motorcycle and you will also need the right gear on the day. John can help you understand each step and will help understand each part in what they are looking for.

Top Tips for your test: Know your shoulder checks and how to use them, there is a reason they are called lifesavers! Make sure your helmet fits you properly and you know how to close it. Turn your head when looking in your mirrors, it’s the only way the tester knows your looking, Make sure you can put your left foot flat on the ground with the motorcycle you drive.

Advanced Driving

Learn to drive your car or motorcycle the way you always wanted, one thing I would always teach new recruits in the Garda collage was anyone can drive fast, but to keep your car or motorcycle under control and to drive in a safe manner is a very different thing. What we teach you is that racing lines are best left to the racetrack, and there are three key rules to diving you vehicle on the roads, 1). Observation 2). Observation 3). Observation, when you follow these rules you start to see hazards before they are a hazard.

This is a course for anyone who would like increase their skills with their vehicle, and I would suggest doing this course if for any reason you keep getting points on your licence we can help you stop losing them before it is too late.
